Reverse X Reverse is the latest game from Desunoya, the creator of Tobari and the Night of the Curious Moon. This cute and quirky puzzle platformer lets you control two girls, Code and Rithm, as they explore a virtual world and tackle 81 challenging levels. Developed by Desunoya and published by Sekai Project, the game was released on May 10, 2015, for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Windows. The story begins when a pale light appears in the night sky, sending a mysterious message to a chosen few.

The story starts with a small event on a night with a curious moon. The next day, Tobari gets to school early, ready for the cultural festival. Hina, Tobari’s friend, asks why he came so soon, and he explains everything, as shown in the screenshot above. Speaking from my own experience, I really enjoy playing this game every day and think you might like it too. Give it a try on your PC and have fun. In the game, your goal is to collect ‘Discs’ and reach the final ‘Big Discs’ within 300 seconds. Collecting these Discs is important because it opens up new paths, called ‘BugFields,’ that let you move forward. If you miss them, the BugField stays in place and blocks your way.

At first, this game might look like one of those frustrating ‘rage’ games, but don’t worry—the puzzles are fair. I’m not great at platformers myself, but I found the levels doable if you’re patient and willing to try a few times. You’ll need some platformer skills and puzzle-solving know-how, but nothing too extreme. Overall, this game might not be for everyone, especially if you don’t like puzzles or platformers. Personally, I usually avoid puzzle games, but Reverse x Reverse grabbed my attention and even got me a bit hooked, probably thanks to the Steam leaderboards and fun gameplay.
